The Ankari An alien race that was allied with the M-113 entities, The Ankari is a sapient humanoid species that come from the planet Ankar that is in the Delta Quadrant of the Milky Way Galaxy. They are similar to the tygarians, but unlike the Tygarians, they lived 100,000 years later; the Ankari are an all-female race that can reproduce with any gender of any race, like the asari but unlike the asari, the Ankari are now extinct.
They were working with the M-113 entities to colonize reality, becoming an alliance-empire. Through this alliance and the resources that was given by the Ankari; the M-113 entities conquered half of the home galaxy. The Ankari had bony structures on the head and lateral crest projecting horizontally above the eyes. The Ankari are a peaceful, spiritual culture, and possess artifacts which they use to summon nucleogenic lifeforms from a different dimensional realm. They consider these lifeforms as spirits of good fortune. Ankari spaceships use what is described as a unique form of propulsion, which makes them hard to be detected.
The Ankari had colonised two quarters of the Milky Way galaxy when the reapers arrived. When the M-113 entities pleaded with the Ankari to help them fight off the reapers, the Ankari refused and left the M-113 entities to their fate. That was a mistake that they paid with their existence, for after a month after invading the M-113 entities, the reapers begun the genocide of the Ankari.
The harvest of the Ankari lasted only 14 years, world by world, system by system, the Ankari were wiped out. Some worlds were stripped bare, other were conquered, their populations enslaved. These indoctrinated servants were taken in as refugees by other Ankari; they betrayed them to the machines.
A quarter of the Ankari Empire offered Ankari children as sacrifices to appease the ancient reapers, but it didn’t work, it made the job easier. Their colonies were all but under attack and the Ankari home Quadrant was the last to fall. the Genocide of the Ankari was complete, only the indoctrinated servants were left behind abandoned, mindless husks, which were incapable of any thought, they soon starved to death.
Sanctuary
As smart as the Reapers were, the Ankari were smarter. the Ankari hid a ship in an empty solar system that was in the Primus Cluster. While the Ankari Empire came crashing down, the ship, with it's population of 234,000 million Ankari, was spared. The Yahg found and revived the Ankari and the Ankari, owing their existence to the Yahg, were absorbed into Parnack Regime.
