I'm new to this wiki but why is there no discussions (/f) or the option to create a new page...
Updates!
Hello, this is here!
I just got back to Mass Effect Fanon, and I think being away for this long is really acceptable but I am however shockingly enough admin in two or more other fanom sites. However since I am here, I plan to revitlize and/or rearrange, reconstruct or otherwise overhaul the design of this fanon and its visuals. I already started with the background by returning the Citadel. If you have any suggestions or ideas, you can speak to me in my talk page and we'll see if we can implement that particular idea!
Hope you all have a safe day and a good holiday with friends and family!
Fixes
As ya may notive, I've gotten adminstration rights and fixed the most retarded bug; that clipping in source editor, which I corrected! So now, you can come to me for any questions, advice etc!
Adoption
As the title suggest, I'd plan on adopting this wiki to improve some issues. Mainly the issue I find FRUSTATING is that when in editor mode (specificaly source editor), a black line goes between, cutting it in half essentially. I KNOW how to fix that issue, just need to adopt and I can repair it.
Fan Fiction Writing Project & Giveaway
Howdy Folks!
For those of you who enjoy writing fan fiction across multiple games or genres, Wikia is hosting a giveaway on the Dragon Age Fanon Wiki. If you contribute, you will have the chance of winning your own copy of Dragon Age: Inqusition on PS4, Xbox One or PC.
Click here to get all the details about the subject and how to get started. Happy writing everyone!
Conflict Template Has Been Fixed.
For all of you eager to create a battle with a template, it is now possible. Without permission though, I fixed the conflict template's name so it's now aligned with the Template: Conflict Infobox, meaning you can use it now without difficulties.
Editing?
Am I the only one here who's apparently lost the ability to edit in "visual mode"? Does anyone know why this has happened?
I'M BACK!!!
I am back and boy it's quiet here! But, man I have busy since I last was here, I always meant to return but things keep coming up and what not, except this time, I've got plenty of reason stick around. You see, I am now in art school, majoring in comic and sequential art. The thing is, I need ideas to draw, and I figure why not draw mass effect or better yet, MASS EFFECT FANON thingies! Of course, I will be resuming work on all the things I had up here and this time, I had to maybe add some... illustrations. Looking forward to getting back in the mix and keep this site alive!
Minecraft & Mass Effect Join Forces
Hello Everyone!
I just wanted to yet you all know that on September 4, 2013, the first Minecraft Texture Pack for the Xbox 360 Edition will be relased.
What is it you ask?
It's MASS EFFECT!
It will be priced at $3.99 and will feature updated items and maps to resemble the Mass Effect world!
Let me know what you think about this idea!

Join the Collaborative Writing Project
Hi everyone!
My name is Matt and I just wanted to let you know that we're hosting a collaborative writing project based on The Great Starship Battle on the SciFi Wiki, which you can find here.
Anyone can contribute to the story and shape the tale -- feel free to contribute and write the tale of Mass Effect!
One year later
With the end of Last Man Standing I conclude my celebration, but what now? What can you expect this year?
Well...
For one; more novels. Those who haven't found their way here... those who are unfinished or unrevised... will get a place in the Diomedian Chronicles.
You: But, cookie. What are you going to write about? What's the plot? Can you give us a taste of what's to come?
Certainly, do know that these are still a work in progress and in some novels I also need some help. That will come from YOU (the viewer).
The first novel you will see is called "Vigor" and it revolves around Team Prometheus finding a Prothean weapon while researching the home planet of the Densorin; A race that lived 50 000 years ago and fought during the Reaper war. Howev…
Still trying for that Earth RP
I know I've pitched this idea before (about a year ago), but what can I say. My favorite battle in the history of all fiction is the magnificent Battle for Earth during the Reaper War! I love the damned thing - however, I feel like it wasn't displayed as it should have been in the game. While we only saw small snippets of Alliance soldiers on the ground, and like three of all the fleets that should've been visible, I feel like there should have been more.
Our last RP was one of my favorite things to write - and I'd love to expand on different sects of the Battle for Earth (perhaps we could have multiple concurrent sub-RPs for different topics or planets, similar to what we did in TCE.) I can handle non-Human species pictures similar to Urdn…
New Possibilities
A few weeks ago, the brilliant folks at Hellfish Studios released a set of morphs that enables 3D artists like me to turn the mass-produced Genesis model into a salarian, or a turian, a drell, or even a Prothean.
I'm still working out all the kinks, but in the near future, it may become possible for me to create custom portraits for a wider variety of characters. So if anyone would like a portrait for their non-human characters, feel free to ask.
Dark Energy Plot
As most of you may have seen, I have been working on a timeline that follows the "dark energy plot" that was originally planned to be in Mass Effect 3 before the rEApers mutated it into the horrific abomination that is currently is. If any of you writers on this wiki have any ideas or suggestions on how I should approach this, please let them be made known, any sort of advice or reviewing (done in a professional and polite manner) are greatly appreciated.
Assistance
Hello, I am relatively new to this blog, however I have already started my fan fiction. It's only really one chapter in, but I'm already positive it's going to be much much longer than I expected it. With that being said, I would love for any advice, or help making it, coming up with ideas, and so forth. Helping me develop characters would be great as well, I'd just love any help. Anyways, let it be noted, I'm still writing everything, but just if anyone has suggestions or wants to help me build on the plot, that'd be great.
Also, I really want to help this place build, so anything you guys want out of me, I'm here for that.
Crucible Era
Upon looking at the Crucible Era stuff it occurred that we might have to take a few more things into account: Those things being the Extended Cut and Leviathan.
-What ending does this Crucible Era follow?
-What becomes of Leviathan(s)? Are they pretty much stuck on Despona or did they enthrall some hapless species to come over and lend a hand?
I'm not sure if the person who created the crucible era is still around so I've been rather cautious about changing things I didn't write but I figured I may as well bring this up.
Is it me or...
Is it me or is this place quiter than an retirement home? Has it always been like this or was busy at one point? Now I may be new here and I just don't understand the activity pattern thingamabobbers of this site but, perhaps we should search around for new recruits amongst the internets or bring back some old members and get this place not just alive, but kicking and screaming. Still, I'll be around here working on my works, hoping that we can draw in some fresh blood, because this is the only fanon site I've come across with some decent writings and I look forward to being a part of this.
Joining
Hello everyone!
I am DeadRaiser, but feel free to call me Dead, DR or Raiser. I have decided to come to this wiki to exhibit my ideas for an expanded Mass Effect universe. I will stay within the rules of the wiki and do my best to help add-on to the Mass Effect Universe.
Mass Effect: Cerberus Chronicles
Mass Effect: Cerberus Chronicles follows the story of Lamar Tarleton and his xenophobic cohorts (and a couple of peeps who are a-okay with aliens but would prefer to help humanity) and will prelude to the creation of Cerberus Nova.
Trivia in articles
Quick debate; Do we *really* need trivia on articles? Nobody cares, nor is it necessary to know that Lord Talos XVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII is a real-world embodiment of a brand of condom or whatever. If it's *symbolic* (E.G; Talos is the code-word to activate operation pooper peeve) then can't you just work it into the article? Trivia sections are either redundant or laziness
Geth Characters?
Recently, I was asked if we are allowed to create geth characters on this wiki. In the past, I have avoided answering this question, as it is one of those big questions that inspires much debate - and carries the risk of sparking a flame war. But as time goes on, I fear it is inevitable that more people will arrive here, seeking to tell stories about the geth, and from this will come articles, or at least, attempts at articles, about so-called "geth characters".
This, of course, raises an interesting question - What is a geth character, exactly? Can they even exist, given what little we know about the geth?
Personally, my answer is, no, there is no such thing as a geth character. My reasoning is this: character implies individuality, and the d…
RP Idea
Spoilers are ahead, but it's nothing specifically about the EC.
With the decline of The Council Era a year or two ago, ideas have been billowing through my head about roleplaying. I've thought up one about a subject that wasn't explained well in Mass Effect 3 - the Battle of Earth.
There were plenty of different races, forces, and places. Along with this, the RP could take place on other planets/in other places such as the Citadel, Palaven, and even fictional locations. While Commander Shepard does his thing, this RP could cover the gritty warfare on the frontlines, and end where the story ends. An epilogue detailing what would happen after would be nice too.
Hey, it's just a suggestion. Either way, if you all like the concept I'll make the R…
Extended Cut DLC, and the Wiki.
Well, seeing as the Extended Cut DLC is coming tomorrow, I say that we should avoid spoilers for the DLC for at least 3-5 working days. If you're so desperate to get the DLC and know, then download it for god's sake and if you feel like writing a review, please give a clear-cut spoiler warning.
Goodbye
Mass Effect Fanon, I have decided to resign as admin and leave permanently. I no longer have the drive to write meaningless articles. I have lost all gumption to care for this wiki, and can't even take it seriously. I am leaving all wikis, actually. I am keeping this short, by the way.
For nearly two years I have been an admin of this site, and for the most part, I have been useless. I see my current status as a glorification of how relevant I really am. I was giving this title out of necessity, and because, frankly, I was the only editor of four who was active every day. I brought this wiki back up from the ground with a friend and mentor known as Gnostic, an excellent writer and Mass Effect Overlord of all things grammatically correct. He…
Bringing More Life to the Wiki.
I figured that in preparation for the Extended Cut DLC, we should try to breath a new gust of air into the wiki. So, any ideas? I believe we should have a list of fanon stories displayed at the side of the main page to help new users navigate and get started. All input welcome (Unless it's hostile) Chaoswolf75 20:02, June 11, 2012 (UTC)
My books
Here are the names of all the books that I'm working on:
1. Last One Out
2. Once More Unto the Fray
3. Mass Effect: The Chevetski Chronicles
Characters
If anyone needs me to make them a character, just give me some general ideas and I'll make it happen. Mrhalohunter24 02:51, June 1, 2012 (UTC)
Questions About the Wiki/I Want to Join
I want to join this Wiki, but first I wish to ask, how strict are the rules here? As in, will I have the kind of creative freedom to do whatever I want as long as it's Mass Effect fanon, like on my wiki, Nazi Zombies Plus, or is it super strict about everything and articles need to be written in certain ways can be instantly deleted for simply having one unintentional inconsistancy with established canon, like in Fallout Fanon?
I have played through all three Mass Effect games once and recently, and yes, I'm the kind of person who sits and reads the codex entries. I'm in no way a certified expert on the universe but I think I know enough to at least come up with ideas better then Mass Effect 3's ending.
The primary ideas I wish to share curr…
Ideas for characters and stuff
This is the first blog post that I've written, so bear with me. I'm looking for any ideas that you people may have for my characters, books, or pages. I'm running a little low on ideas as I'm writing a novel separate from Mass Effect & Mass Effect Fanon, and I'm trying to keep my novels here and the novels I'm writing elsewhere separate, but it is getting difficult right now. If any of you would like to contribute your ideas, or maybe even characters of yours, please leave a comment below. Any ideas are welcome and very much appreciated.
By the way, a list of my pages will be on my user page. Use the link to see what I've written if you like.
Hunter Killer
Getting a feel for it
So, I finally caved in and created a character you may have noticed, Allen Beckett, and ideas came forward from there. Anyway, I wanted to get a sense on just who's active and who would be interested in expanding the N7 Special Ops, the multiplayer freelancers that aid the fight against the Reapers.
They start out as ex-Alliance marines that create a fighting force free of the Alliance's red tape, like Archangel's team on a galactic scale, taking on critical missions that conventional militaries dismiss as being too high-risk. But not for these characters. They're the elite, the heroes, hell, they're the protagonists. N7 Marines, former STG, asari commandos, turians seeking redemption, Terminus mercenaries, whatever.
They're just about perfec…
Two little things I'd like to lay down.
1) If you're a member of the "Hold the line" movement, or you're going to constantly complain about the endings, get out. I don't mind, however, writing a fanfic about the events *after* the endings, nor do I mind you writing up your own theories, though unless it's written like a character's data-file, would you kindly keep them to blogs/userspace? Danke.
2) If you come here to advertise anything, you are going to face my wrath amplified by the power of a billion suns. This is a wiki, not a sales pitch or a billboard for you to advertise your weak little cause on.
With that in mind, have fun editing. Also, I have developed a mild ear infection, so I will be a tad inactive whilst dealing with it. So if you need any help, I'm sure Gnostic and…
Our Growing Community
We have a had a fair share of new recruits from all around the internet, and a few appear to have revived themselves from inactivity. Due to our orginial state, me and Gnostic ruled over like a unified sovereignty. We were not unjust, but there were no basic guidelines followed: We did as we saw fit, eliminating vandals, crushing undesirables, and being selfish jack asses.
We did this because we were basically the only constant editors worthy of mention, and we were basically vigilantes. Although our wiki possesses a "handbook" of sorts for the supervising cast known as Administrators, a Terms of Service, and MOS, and a few rules were actually followed; Remnants only accepted because they once belonged to a larger community, a group of peop…
Refugees from MEFFW?
Okay, why the hell have we suddenly started getting refugees from Mass Effect Fan Fiction?
Crucible Era: the story thus far
I am looking back upon what I have created thus far in the crucible era to get a better sense of what I am doing.
The crucible era follows the control ending of ME3, and shows the universe after the destruction of the mass relays.
The victory fleet at the end of ME3 was stranded in the local cluster and forced to set up colonies, this is Crucible Space. It is basically a compartmentalized version of the mass effect universe as we know it.
Meanwhile on the opposite side of the galaxy the yahg have gathered themselves, they have created the Parnack Regime and in fear of the reapers have brutally assimilated other species.
Essentially the regime, in tone, is like anti-citadel! I have created a plethora of races for the regime which all have cause…
Good evening, Gentlemen.
Well I figured I better bloody post here. Hello there, I'm Chaoswolf75, AKA "The guy that founded this bloody wiki".
Long story short; I'm going to become MUCH more active here, but first I'd like to lay down a few ground rules;
- Wikia policy says you need to be 13 or over to edit. If you're not, kindly leave.
- If you plan on making any large "projects", please kindly inform me so I know what you're doing, and PLEASE categorize everything appropriately. I don't like seeing your page on the M-69 Violator Shotgun being labelled as Armor or part of KinkMaster42's "Totally not sexual" fanon category.
- And last but not least, for the love of sweet Black fucking Sabbath, try and format things properly. If your fanon has no paragraphs, terrible grammar,…
Proposal for Policy on Post-ME3 Articles
Because not all of us have had the opportunity to play Mass Effect 3 yet, I would like to propose that, for the time being, we discourage the creation of articles based on post-ME3 continuity, to avoid spoiling the ending for those of us who haven't played. Any objections?
An Invitation to the Crucible Era
I openly invite you all to contribute to the project I am working on, the Crucible Era.
We all know at this point bioware is planning something to fix the ending of mass effect 3 . . . they are not incapable of making mistakes, but I am confident this is one they will fix.
but my project, the Crucible Era, takes the original ending, and rolls with it!!!!!
Plain and simple, we make the best of a bad situation!
Add information, but never subtract any . . .add images, do whatever you like an categorize it with the words Crucible Era proceeding the category name!
The first page I made was "Crucible Space"
I made a map, and I will work my way up from there.
If anybody has any ideas for what the post-ME3 governments please tell me, I dont have a gover…
New guy here
Yo. So im new here, although i have been contributing to the Warhammer 40k Fanon since the 8th december 2010. So now im thinking of joining your community here. the first article i will make will probably be a character from Sweden, as that is my homeland, and i would like to have some anchoring to my home, even in the future (Me being swedish will also explain why my english will, on certain occasions, suck).
However, before i jump into the action of creation, i would like to know the rules, what i can and cant do etc. etc. Do note: I understand that i should not make him into a highly op godlike being AKA Shepard :3

Okay, I am going to offer my thoughts on the future of the franchise based on the possible endings of mass effect 3.
I dont think synthesis is the canonical ending, I think shephard is too smart for something that stupid. The logic behind the action is fundamentally flawed, as it doesnt actually prevent synthetic life from rebelling against its creators . . . all it does is change life, and so long as there is life there is going to be someone who says "man I sure dont wa…
House of Ideas
The recent book Mass Effect: Deception, not to mention some of the continuity errors from the game . . . have got me wondering if maybe having individuals produce works for universes like Mass Effect is a good idea!
Movies and video games succeed because of the large number of people working on these games!
So what about a house of ideas? Could a group of dedicated individuals make these books and other works for the Mass Effect universe as teams, thus having likely having a higher output and definitely a better grasp of the continuity?
How, then, would this team get the attention of Bioware/EA? You can't just submit a book or a comic for approval - they have to commission it!
The suggestion is simple - as a community, we should write something th…
Wish Me Luck
I have some wrestling tournaments tomorrow, and hopefully I will win it. Wish me luck, and hopefully I can kick some ass. I think I have a twenty man bracket.
I'm Back, More or Less
Hey kids. I finally got out of rehab last weekend, and after some hesitation, I'm coming back to work here. It may be a while before I'm back to full steam, as I also have to find a new day job and go to all kinds of addiction-recovery meetings, but for all intents and purposes, I'm back.
Season's greetings
To all users of Mass Effect Fanon, merry christmas and a happy new year. I wish you all the best for 2012 CE
Going Away...
Alright kids, listen up. I've gotten in some trouble at my day-job, and now I have to go off to rehab for six weeks to get my job back (went home at the end of my shift and decided to celebrate the weekend, then suddenly got called back in to the office... not one of my prouder moments...) They don't allow personal computers at the facility, so it may be a while till I'm able to get back here. Till then, Hunter Zealot is in charge, and he's not patient and tolerant like me, so behave or else he'll verbally kick your asses up and down the hall. See y'all later.
Unrelated Note
So, which of you is a Gears of War fan? And if you are, what are your thoughts on Gears of War?
To me, Gears of War is my favorite game series, because it takes meat headed one liners to the next level, manages to beat every game of it's time in graphics(On console, that is), and has the most depressing campaign out there(It's the only game to ever make me choke a little).
Gears of War is not about war, however, it's about the Human Race fighting for survival, in a alternative universe on a planet called Sera. They fight against the most genocidal monstrosities ever born in a video game, which are known as the Locust Horde, a race of subterranean monsters who have enslaved creatures of various make up and design, effectively turning nature's…
New Rule Proposal
In the continuing effort to increase coherence on this site, I am considering a new rule: Every fanon article must have at least one connection to someone else's fanon. For instance, much of EliteMaster's work is tied to the Office of Naval-Alliance Security (which has since been renamed the Office of Alliance Territorial Hegemony), which was the brainchild of Foxtrot12.
Any thoughts on this proposal?
How did the Reapers invade the galaxy in Mass Effect 3?
We all know that the Reapers are going to invade the Milky Way in ME3, but one question still remains! How did the reapers get there so fast? Sovereign is dead, and can therefore no longer activate the citadel mass relay. The keepers ignore the reapers, and the collectors were wiped out by Shepard, plus loosing the Alpha Relay in the Bahak system, thus exterminating all chances of a quick invasion of the galaxy. But apparently they found a way, and a really fast one at that, because they invaded Earth pretty much right after the events in ME2. Any thoughts on this? was just wondering about it today, and wanted to hear you guys thoughts on it.
Headache-Inducing Question of the Day
Did the Mass Effect franchise exist in the Mass Effect universe?
Article Ownership Policy
For those who did not read the fine print too closely, any article submitted to MEFW become the property of the wiki, not its creator, and thus the author loses control over the article as soon as it's submitted. Of course, with the exception of extremely crude, obscenity-laden articles, that kind of policy is not often enforced on fanon wikis, because it's a bit of a killjoy.
I bring this up because in the coming weeks, the wiki's ownership of submitted articles may become invoked more frequently. Here's the important part: Any editor who is inactive for a certain number of months, unless they've made prior arrangements (for instance, informing the community that they'll be away for a while, for school or military service or some other comm…
