Bryan Iverson, nicknamed the "Dungeon Master", was a male human Systems Alliance Gunnery Sergeant and an instructor at the largest Systems Alliance Military training camp on Shanxi, an industrial human colony world and the site of one of the most brutal battles of the First Contact War. Iverson served the Systems Alliance as a N7 commando for many years, fighting against the turians during the First Contact War.

After the war, Iverson retired from active service and became an advanced zero-gravity and spacewalking instructor at the Systems Alliance Military training base on Shanxi, where he taught Johun Shepard during his initial basic training. Iverson was often referred to as the Dungeon Master by new recruits due to how he oversaw the training simulations with an almost god-like power.
