Eumenia T'Nair, more commonly known as the Matriarch Eumenia, was the mother of Siani T'Nair, and a highly-influential figure in the politics and economy of Illium. She is best remembered as the mastermind behind the so-called "Zak'kon Fiasco", in which she attempted to send two Alliance military officers to their deaths on Zak'kon in a complicated plot to spark a war between the Systems Alliance and the Batarian Hegemony.

The woman who would become the Matriarch Eumenidia was born Eumenia T'Nair in 1396 CE, in what was then the asari colony of Nomimos. She was the daughter of the brilliant archaeologist and industrialist Plistia T'Nair and businesswoman Ilina Dantius, and from an early age demonstrated remarkable intelligence.

- The name Eumenidia is derived from eumenide, which is Greek for "kindly one". The Kindly Ones was a euphemism for the Furies.
