Gakan Fed'roh is the commander of a group of batarian radicals that conducted a terrorist attack on a human colony in the Terminus Systems.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

Gakan Fed'roh was born of wealthy gentry on the planet Anhur, an Attican Traverse world noted for both a sizable batarian and human population. This 'coexistence' exasperated the historical animosity between the two species of which Fed'roh felt no exception. Tensions flared over the issue of slavery and escalated into a two-year civil war known as the Anhur Rebellions. The largely batarian proponents of the slave trade possessed the advantage in ships, labour and weapons and so their opponents turned to mercenaries to even the odds. As influential slavers, Fed'roh's family were targeted and eventually killed by mercs forcing him to flee to the nearby Terminus Systems.

Vendetta[]

Fed'roh's typical batarian dislike of everything human evolved into a vengeful vendetta. In the Terminus Systems he completed a variety of jobs that shared a common outcome--misfortune and suffering to humans; even when not nessecary. Upon hearing of the mysterious disappearances of human colonies Fed'roh sensed an opportunity to capitalise and exact a more appropriate level of revenge.

Attack on Franklin[]

Preparing for launch

After seeking out similarly radical batarian individuals, a far from difficult task given the Batarian Hegemony's strong, anti-human rhetoric, Fed'roh developed a scheme--to launch an attack on the nearby Alliance colony of Watson. The plan was to infiltrate a defence base on the planet's moon, destroy the orbiting infrastructure and then target Watson itself.

Stowed aboard a stolen human shuttle, the element of surprise allowed the infiltrating batarians to overwhelm the security patrol. Once inside, the terrorists armed the first pair of Javelin missiles and prepared to launch one each at a different target: Franklin's spaceport and residential area. However, a member of the security personnel was narrowly able to trigger a distress signal before being unceremoniously gunned down. The signal was intercepted by the Normandy SR-2, drawing the attention of Commander Shepard. When the Commander and their team intervened Fed'roh vowed to ensure that the attack would not be avoided--regardless of the fate of him and his fellow terrorists. With the momentum of the skirmish shifting away from the batarian radicals, he retreated into the missile control room and began hacking the control panel in an attempt to corrupt the kill switches that could disarm the warheads. Fed'roh was partly successful, with only one kill switch left operational, before he was eventually neutralised. Commander Shepard was thus left with a difficult choice and in death Fed'roh's vendetta was partly satisfied.
