Captain Harnon O'Connor was the Commanding Officer of the SSV Atlanta. He was killed when the ship was attacked by a small band of pirate vessels in the Far Rim, on October 27th, 2160. His second in command, Commander James Van McClellan sacrificed his own life to buy the crew enough time to escape.
