The Livis Company was an Illium-based private contractor that served as a legitimate front for the mercenary group Eclipse. For much of its history, it operated at a profit, but in 2181 CE, a majority of its shares were suddenly bought up by the Matriarch Eumenia, one of the major players in Nos Astra. She directed a considerable amount of its resources to an intervention on Zak'kon, where asari activists were protesting the former asari colony's ongoing occupation by the Batarian Hegemony. The units that were sent there were plagued by problems with their comms and navigation equipment, and in the end, only the Matriarch's daughter, Siani T'Nair, managed to get off the planet safely. Adding the company's woes, the Matriarch was killed shortly after by her assistant, Sylvia Christian. Facing the possibility of insolvency, the other shareholders were thus relieved when Siani T'Nair used the money she inherited from her mother to buy out the company.
Following her purchase of the company, T'Nair promptly shut it down, and used its leftover assets to form her own business, the Nairida Corporation, more commonly known as NairidaCorp.
