Corporal Louis Gates was an N7 Commando and Blue Suns mercenary who served the Alliance for nine years joining in 2169 CE and leaving in 2178 CE serving on Mindoir and patrol duties. He then went to Noveria where he worked for the Blue Suns and used them to find a job as part of a security detail. In 2184 CE, he was then sent to blow up the offices of a krogan weapon making company. He tried to blackmail his old commanding officer, Maria de Wilden, under whom he had served on Mindoir, threatening to expose her unless she helped him with the job. But he sought to further humiliate her by forcing her to dress as a stripper to distract any guards she encountered. She got her revenge by venting gas valves to his position, killing him in a fiery inferno.
