Mass Effect: Horizons is a novel currently being written by MarkRulez; the storyline is set to take place almost a year after the events of Mass Effect: Andromeda, where it will focus on main protagonists Scott Ryder, the second human Pathfinder undertaking an important mission on behalf of the newly-formed Nexus Council; and Alan Shepard, a descendant of the Shepard family who has given up his heritage to pursue a life as a bounty hunter.
