Mass Effect: The Krogan Rebellions is a Mass Effect fan fiction novel currently being written by Infernal Warrior. It is the first work to be written, and the first book chronologically, of the Citadel Redux series. The work was begun by Infernal Warrior in late December and the first two chapters were released on April 20, 2010.
The story itself takes place before and during the Krogan Rebellions, a brutal and devastating civil war between the krogan and the rest of Citadel space, nearly 2,000 years before the events of Mass Effect. It focuses almost entirely on original characters, who are only loosely affiliated with the events that happen in the period, created for the Citadel Redux series, although prominent characters from the Mass Effect codex are featured.
Follow another lone Spectre and her allies in the Citadel Council Military shortly before the beginning and during the Krogan Rebellions, a period of intense warfare and enormous bloodshed, and the defeat of the krogan clans. Follow the Spectre and her allies as they deal with their own issues: from acceptance to death to friendship and more. With the krogan victory during the Rachni Wars over the insectoid forces of the Rachni Queens, things are getting more heated quickly, forcing everyone to be at their best form — ready for the coming tidal waves or not.
