The Republic Intelligence is the Interstellar Republic's domestic and foreign intelligence agency responsible for obtaining and analyzing military, diplomatic and economic information and reporting such information to the relevant branches of the Interstellar Republic government. It is also tasked with investigating possible security threats, both external and internal. The salarian Special Tasks Group (STG) as well as certain activities conducted by C-Sec and Spectres were considered part of Republic Intelligence operations.
Operating in the shadows, Republic Intelligence field agents were skilled at manipulation, subterfuge, intimidation and assassination and could be just as deadly as their Spectre counterparts.
