Rosamund "Half-Pint" Pinto is the leader of the Onryo Fantasmas, an Omega-based gang made up of former slaves based in the slum of Bhutakasahara. After the pro-human extremist group Cerberus deposed the "pirate queen" Aria T'Loak in 2186 CE, the various factions that had long vied for control of the slum began openly warring against each other, having realized that Cerberus had no interest in reigning them in as Aria had done for so many years, and Pinto and her gang thus found themselves with both new challenges and new opportunities.
History[]
Born on Eden Prime in 2158 CE, Rosamund Pinto had a relatively carefree childhood, and resented it. Craving adventure, she ran away from home as soon as she was old enough to charm her way onto a passing freighter.
Unluckily for her, she ended up on the space station Omega, and quickly found herself out of her depth. Thanks to a particularly unscrupulous batarian slumlord, she was forced into prostitution and slavery.
For several miserable years, Pinto was bought and sold from one master to another, until 2184 CE, when she was acquired by the batarian slaver Prishur Kok'ketras. Among Kok'ketras' harem was Emilia Zlatar, a "twitch" (Omega slang for a slave with biotic powers), who was kept tethered outside Kok'ketras' compound to serve as a biotic guard dog. Pinto (who by this point went by the nickname "Half-Pint") became responsible for taking care of Zlatar, and grew fond of her.
After a few months, Kok'ketras became aware of Pinto's affections for his guard dog, and sought to teach her a lesson. He brutally beat and sexually assaulted Zlatar, and warned Pinto that he'd kill the girl if Pinto did anything else he disliked.
