The SSV Everest was an Everest-class dreadnaught and the flagship of the Alliance Fifth Fleet in 2186. She was the flasgship of Admiral Stephen Hackett during the Battle of Earth.
The Battle of Earth[]
The Everest was the command vessel of Sword Fleet during the Battle of Earth. During this battle, she was heavily damaged, with a direct hit killing all bridge officers bar Admiral Hackett and the ship's XO.
Her most notable contribution to the battle was towards the end, where her heavy weapons (including Thanix cannons) were used as a trigger for the Crucible. The kinetic energy of the weapon impacts supplied the device with the energy it needed to fire.
Everest survived the battle.
