The Systems Alliance frigate SSV Troy is the mobile command center of the Omega Squad, captained by Staff Commander Gerard Keller.
Specifications[]
The SSV Troy's design and appearance is very similar to that of the Normandy SR-2, though the Troy was built in 2178 and was designed by Benjamin Hatzis. Other than its appearance, it shares little in common with the stealth frigate. Instead of being built for reconnaissance and stealth, the Troy was created as sort of weapons platform. It is outfitted with more weapons and heavier armor than any ship of its class, including the Thanix cannon, Javelin torpedoes, GARDIAN laser systems, and Silaris armor, among others.
However, despite the ship's overwhelming firepower, there are multiple disadvantages as well. Because the ship was built with such devastating firepower, it had no room to implement a stealth system, meaning that the ship cannot hide itself from enemy sensors. Also, because of the number of weapons, the ship contains a much smaller Tantalus drive core, greatly reducing its speed in FTL travel and limiting the size of the fuel cells.

The Nightmare Games[]
During the events of Mass Effect: The Madman's Game, the crew of the Troy was captured and forced to participate in Jonathan Allen's terrifying "Nightmare Games". Over the course of the games, the crew is tortured and most were driven insane by Allen. Once their sanity had vanished, they turned on their on ship mates, leading to the deaths of almost every crew member.

Author's Notes[]
- The last names of both sergeants are a reference to Bill Watterson's Calvin & Hobbes comic strip, which I used to love reading, even today.
