Salthythia Senus is an asari senator who represented the Parintha system in the Galactic Senate of the Interstellar Republic.
Biography[]
In 2197 CE, the new Minister of Defense was called to a Senate hearing to discuss yahg activity in the Attican Traverse. Afterwards, Salthythia was kidnapped by Cerberus remnants. She was taken to a secret facility on Pragia and was subjected to torture. When the Republic's 47th Infiltration Regiment arrived to rescue her, her captors escaped, leaving the Senator tied to an operating table set to explode if she tried to move. The unit was able to defuse the bomb and Salthythia was escorted back to the Citadel under the watch of Commander James Vega. Salthythia's bondmate later sent a message to the 47th Infiltration Regiment, telling them that they've earned an ally in the Senate.
Sometime after the outbreak of the Great Galactic War, Minister Shepard was called for another Senate hearing to discuss his activities. The Senator behind the hearing, Xzavier Glade, labeled the Ministry of Defense a dismal failure, claiming that they abuse their authority. In turn, Vega arrived and presented evidence gathered by Alliance Intelligence revealing Xzavier to be a paid agent for the Yahg Empire. Though Xzavier tried to deny the evidence, claiming these to be "wild accusations" and "paranoid delusions". Salthythia stood up for Vega and Minister Shepard, stating that they deserved more than to be dismissed out of hand. The Senate committee then reviewed the evidence before ordering C-Sec to detain Xzavier for high treason.
