Sarah Greenwood was the resident doctor, medical examiner, and phyiscian on the Systems Alliance frigate known as the SSV Midway while it was under the command of Captain Nick Salvatore. She provided advanced medical training, and equipment to the crew of the SSV Midway, and was often to be found in the ship's medical bays tending to the wounded. Doctor Greenwood briefly treated Johun Shepard, the man who would eventually become the first human Spectre, as well as his friend Nigel O'Conner, and his then-Commanding Officer, Daniel Arbor, for bruises resulting from a particularly rocky M-35 Mako landing during a reconnaissance mission on the remote, desert world of Edolus.
