Sarah Scott, formerly Langley, was a teacher at the Walnut Creek Primary Education Center in San Francisco, California, on Earth. After her husband, David Langley, was found having an affair with a crewmate of his ship, she divorced him and quit her job, moving from the suburbs of Walnut Creek to downtown San Francisco. She was the mother of Adam, Jane, Lois, and Ryan Langley.
