The YS-22 Hermes Spaceplane was a commercial interplanetary luxury airliner of human design. It was arguably the most advanced passenger airliner of its time. Despite its advancements, it only lasted a few years before being discontinued as a direct result of its manufacturer, Nexus Starliners, getting hit hard during the Reaper invasion of 2186 CE.
Even during its six years of service, ships of the line were considered high-value targets for raiders and pirates. Although disabling the ship for boarding was an easy task for any decent pirate vessel, taking the ship was the hard part. On occasion, separate pirate factions would even consider cooperating with each other to raid such ships, and would agree to split the loot afterwards.
